On International Human Rights Day, Dec. 10, 2021, at 3:00 AM Eastern Time, we invite you to a webinar organized by the Coalition of Agricultural Workers International (CAWI), entitled “Agri Workers’ Rights are Human Rights.”

Amid the starvation wages of agricultural workers and their hazardous working conditions, alongside intense political repression, we pose the questions: How can agricultural workers assert their rights and demand accountability from employers and policymakers?  What are the various ways agricultural workers can strengthen their ranks amid systemic oppression and suppression?

We hope to answer these questions and more with our resource persons, including seasoned agricultural workers’ leaders and advocates from India, Indonesia, Kenya, Malaysia, the Philippines, and Sri Lanka. Attached here is the concept note and program of the webinar.

English is the medium of discussion of the webinar and will use Zoom as its platform.
