The Unyon ng mga Manggagawa sa Agrikultura (UMA) today decried the Duterte regime’s intensifying war against peasants including agricultural workers.

According to UMA Secretary General John Milton “Butch” Lozande, the military under the 8th IBPA illegally mass arrested additional 6 women farm workers on July 3, 2018 in Brgy. New Eden, Pangantucan, Bukidnon.

They were accused by the military of being supporters of the New People’s Army (NPA). The 6 are members of Onyon sa Yanong Obrerong Nagkahiusa (OGYON), which is a member organization of UMA.
